Managing the Classroom
Managing The Classroom: Strategies And Techniques
· A lesson plan incorporating the steps of problem solving
· A written philosophy of your classroom management
Problem solving seems to be an important aspect in education today.
Students need to learn more problem solving skills then ever before. Society has imposed too many problems for students to solve and I want to be able to help them carry these strategies outside of the classroom. These strategies are “life skills” and hopefully will be used throughout their lives. I have incorporated more problem solving lessons to provide my students with the necessary skills to solve problems in their every day world.
I have become more aware of the necessity of written rules being posted in the classroom. I have my students help write the rules that they can follow and all the students sign them when they are agreed upon. I am glad that I spent time thinking and writing about my philosophy of classroom management because it really helped me to adapt to the needs of the students and how important it is for them to feel safe without being threatened.
